Why the heck not? I was only down by 1.1 liters and 381 HP, and I didn’t have those pesky turbochargers to interfere with the exhaust note. Other than those details they’re almost the same thing, right?

I had a Rabbit GTI whose stock exhaust system would make similar noises. I loved to go through parking garages in first gear with the windows and sunroof open, setting off car alarms on every overrun. My god, that was a sweet sound (the car, not the alarms...)

They should really shrink it down to 2.85 liters. This would be more in keeping with the original goal of building it for Group B. With the equivalency factor mulitplier of 1.4 this would make for the equivalent of a 4 liter NA engine (2.85 x 1.4 = 3.999)
