That’s what I assumed, but I’m torn on whether it’s a flaw in the movie that it doesn’t really make that connection explicit since it’s a pretty big character leap from previous incarnations, or a viewer flaw on my part for not reading enough into the scene where he looks at the Robin suit in the case.

Weirdly, I think Diana might be the one character Snyder “gets” in the film! In this limited part of the story, at least, she’s a warrior who loves the thrill of battle. Basically a Spartan.

OH also my least favorite thing from the movie is how they will be showing some inconsequential scene (a box being moved from a ship), but they turn Zimmer’s score to 11 like it’s the apocalypse. Snyder is a child and can’t focus on small moments and thinks the same of the audience.

Her smile after getting knocked back hard and then charging right back when is easily the most genuine and strongest character moment of the movie.

I said this in an earlier comment, but this plot really really reeks of a political battle. There are two different conspiracy plots, that are pointless because we KNOW who is behind it the whole time. Just draw us a straight line.

I think it landed around a 6 or 7 out of 10 for me, and is on the same level as AoU for a few reasons:

It is kind of true, though. Flash is the fast-talking quip machine of the group. Imagine Avengers without Iron Man and it’s pretty dour.

This looks great, and these strong women are about to kick some ass.
