They quoted $60 million, but that was the amount invested in Kemosabe total. The number for Kesha is more likely to be around $11 million.
If you want to see one way this ends, look into JoJo’s story. Her label got dropped by company after company, but she was still owned by them. And she couldn’t release ANY music for 10 years.
Currently, Kelly Clarkson just finished her contract with RCA (under Sony), but the others who have spoken up are big enough stars/clients that you avoid any ill will from them.
“Lady Gaga, Adele, and Kelly Clarkson”
This is correct. They are essentially washing their hands of the situation.

She wrote this as a follow-up to Because of You, and I’m happy she got to perform it on Idol. Just from this performance, the song hit #1 on iTunes and the album went from the 1500s to #3.
Really wanted Idris Elba for this. Would have been PERFECT.
The non-electropop songs were the best part of Warrior.
Like, I feel invincible when this is playing and I’m pretty sure this song is single-handedly going to end Winter and make flowers bloom.
Unfortunately, her contract is through Dr. Luke’s company, Kasz Money, and not Sony directly.
