US Soccer has banned headers in games and practices before U12, and that’s actually good for the game, because it discourages the negative, unhelpful tactic of lumping long balls to the tall player up front, and encourages both attacking and defenders to be better with their feet. 

Hell, they’re even implementing this with European football with headballs being forbidden before a certain age, at least in Western countries. And somehow the sport isn’t dying out.
