The Grand Wagoneer looks like a Commander that did some bicep curls, took a gas station d*ck pill and put a tight undershirt on. The smaller Wagoneer is way better in terms of proportion in comparison and its a crime that it doesn’t get the 6.4. I will say that the lack of exterior trim and character lines ruins both

C’mon, Lawrence. Y’all coulda given us a shot of the front fascia.

This, big time. Hell, he could get a new Bolt for around his budget and still have a very solid EV with plenty of warranty left.

With gas prices the way they are, I’d never go back to ICE. For anyone doing any driving at all, a less expensive EV could pay for itself. Trade the Model 3 Performance for a Model 3 Standard Range. It’s also going to be a more enjoyable vehicle than any $27k ICE sedan.

I was going to say 05-09 Mustang but then I remind myself regular gas is at least $6 in So Cal so I’d rather suggest the OP a NB Miata, G35 coupe or Solstice

I mean....’05-’09 Mustang GT? You can get a nice one for $10k.

This is a case where someone else’s project is probably not a horrible thing. First off, the underpinnings are old school VW parts. One of the drivetrains cars that a person totally inept with mechanicals can probably still tear down and repair. Secondly, the selected drive train actually fits the motif. This is no Fie

A well done Speedster rep is one of the only kits that I’d seriously consider. I always assumed that I’d get a Karmann Ghia because the actual Speedster is financial unobtanium. But… a Speedster rep? That’s a super interesting alternative, and theoretically could be mechanically superior as this one is. The car is

Looks like it is all done right. I have totally different feelings about these than say, VW based MG replicas, because the original 356 was basically cobbled together with VW parts.

This is a simple fix. Have one or two examples of a vehicle for test drives and viewing. And have a place where boomers can sit down with someone and order the vehicle the want.

Yeah, any of the modern trade vans is really what this guys needs.

The Ford Transit Connect has a host of build/reliability issues. But the Fiat Promaster City makes them look like a early 90s Toyota.

People playing chicken with a train is not a tragedy, it’s people paying the price for stupidity. This might be the dumbest of the oh so many dumb takes here.

About the 5GT, which is a jalop icon in devenir, I would only recommend it if his budget was much lower. He has enough budget to afford a new car with a warranty, which is wiser than to spend 57K on a 15 years old Merc AMG wagon.

Some of us may take issue with hair being a renewable resource.

In 5 years on BaT...

I know its popular to pile on Maldonado but he’s a race winner and generally levels above the other two mentioned.

Did you see the rear door frame? I don’t think that’ll buff out...

Even if the site won’t crown you the winner, you’re the winner to me

Oh I threw soooo much stupid stuff at my Neon. Look at this interior. LOOK AT IT:
