My dad used to joke when I had braces that all I needed in addition to those railroad tracks were glasses and then I would never find a husband.

He rarely makes fun of her. Jabs, yes. Sarcastic quips, sure. But that's Bourdain being Bourdain. He has respect for Ina.
But he can step off making fun of Ina Garten. That woman is a damned good cook, and her recipes always work. You know if you’re using something she wrote, it has been tested to within an inch of its life and the results are reproducible. Sure, she’s privileged, but she owns it and she is good at what she does.
The Rock just sounds so sweet and adorable.

Remember kids: Black Lives Matter is a bunch of whiners who are looking for reasons to be offended. The real oppression is a lack of Christmas iconography on your coffee cups.
I don’t know. They may have a point. Those cups don’t look anything like the ones Jesus drank his Gingerbread Lattes out of.
As a Pat, I am also worthy of suspicion too.
He hired away some of his old hires, giving ESPN a pretext to close the whole thing? It’s a very flimsy criticism, imo, but there are tons of vehement Simmons haters out there grasping for straws. Instead of looking at this and coming to the logical conclusion, that ESPN is a terrible company, they try to spin at as…
I have no qualms with them getting out of the pop culture business, I just hope they decide to return to the sports business.
You’re right that these hearings actually help generate enthusiasm in the GOP-base. On the other hand, we can hope they actively repel a large chunk of moderates by showing the witch-hunt for what it actually is.
But they haven’t really. What they’ve done is make the American people (70% of whom support Planned Parenthood btw) see that these old white men live in an alternate reality. The ONLY priorities in their world seems to be making sure women can’t decide or control their own medical decisions, and discrediting Hillary…
I think Hillary looked Presidental af yesterday. It was really the first time I was like “yeah, she’d be good at that job”. I have mixed feelings on Hillary sometimes but she showed the fuck up yesterday. Well played.
Not really related, but kinda: I hear Marketplace Morning Report every day, and I noticed recently that David Brancaccio features women as his guest experts all the time. Well more than half, I’d say. In an area where women are particularly overlooked and shouted down (economics), I figure he must be doing this…
If Benghazi didn’t affect Obama’s re-election bid when it pretty much happened the day before the election, why do they think it’ll affect Hillary after it’s had four years to cool? They need to find something new.
Policy-wise, I'm firmly in Bernie's camp but that doesn't mean that I can recognize what a shameful hit job they tried to pull on Clinton. If the DNC doesn't make an effort to go after every Republican member of this committee hard for this partisan-hack travesty in their reelection campaigns, they're damn fools as…
It doesn’t hurt that Clinton and Richards are about 19x smarter than anyone else in the room.
I'm no Hillary Clinton supporter but she totally destroyed that. No surprise though.
No shit. I turned 40 this year, and have been actively thinking “I hope I don’t die before episode 9”.
