From a storytelling perspective, “re-answering” a question isn’t really a thing. You may not be happy with the way a question was answered— but it’s one thing to answer a question in a way some may find unsatisfying, and quite another thing to say “actually, that answer is THIS instead.”  It’s like an improv game but…

Yeah, my issue with TLJ all along is that it has some really terrific moments—including one, the throne room scene, that’s among the very best in the franchise—but they never cohered into a fascinating movie, and the whole thing ended up being just an interesting mess.

For me, Cliffhanger ends as soon as the opening titles appear. I’ve only ever seen the first five or ten minutes of that movie and it’s perfect that way.

I don’t think the problem with undoing TLJ is just ‘retconning the one I liked’, but more ‘going around in circles’.
