Because white people can’t comprehend being denied things. It’s not within their set of experiences to not be allowed to do things others can do. Sort of like interacting with a police officer without fearing for their safety or not being eyed suspiciously when walking through an upscale store is for people of color.

I’d like to think the folks who “complain” about not being able to say the n-word are just making an issue of a supposed double standard and don’t actually want to say the word. But I’ve been known to be a bit gullible in my lifetime.

That video of the VT lacrosse team...they’re screaming it out so loud and joyfully like it pained them to not be able to say it and once they got their opportunity, they just had to scream it.

I bet there aren’t a ton of Twitter arguments wondering why it’s not okay to use a slur of Asian people, or a slur of Hispanic people.

Because white people want to make all the rules about what people can do and say of course silly.

My comments about wanting to be mad at someone weren’t directed at you, sorry if it came off that way. It was directed at the people who think singing along to a rap song, word for word, is somehow racist or even in poor taste if you’re not black.
