Having seen the new Murano a few times now, (In person, no less) I can safely say that one was designed during a Tequila-based lunch.

I figured it was along the lines of what happened when they introduced the hatch-only STI and everybody screamed sacrilege. Then, over time, people came to love it.
Now it’s a reverse scenario.
To be fair, minus all the electronic do-dads, the idea of a lifted-hatch does harken back to a fun era of Subarus.
I honestly don’t mind how they look. They’re a little underpowered, but seem to do the trick.
My main beef with them is they’ll give us the XV, which is a hatch, but they kicked the STi hatch out to pasture, and that makes me a sad panda.

I see this being a hit over on /r/vandwellers seeing as they love a stealth outfit. I get the creeps knowing that many people out there are into it, but on the other hand I sorta get it.....nah, the vast majority are probably still nuts.
Ah, I forgot how big that particular concept was, because I recall a red & white one that was made a little more recently that was about the size of a Ford Transit Connect.
