I wonder that exact same thing about pretty much all new cars these days. While I'm not offended that GM is asking more for giving you more, I'm more concerned about the broad spectrum of automobiles as a whole, and how the average price has gone up due to inflation, more standard tech, safety, etc.

New, higher-quality interior materials along with the standard technology upgrades are likely the majority of it.
