Damn. I'm so disheartened about the news concerning The Fades. While the first season ended like the solid-from-start-to-finish, epic six hour movie it was (seriously people, if you haven't seen it, you should).... I really wanted to see even more of what they promised in the finale.

A few things: The long slender humanoid form of the supermecha are meant to evoke 1) the slender humanoid form/silhouette of both the Cybertronics logo and 2) the long necked, slim silhouette when Monica first sees David through the glass doors of her house.

I've always adored this movie but mostly for the initial scenes with William Hurt and the final scenes with the supermecha (they were extremely advanced robots. Not aliens, folks).
