This is your friendly reminder that youtube comparison videos are not an accurate representation of a game running live or even captured with less video compression/higher bitrate. Also, nitpicking about this stuff is silly. Games look better on the new consoles compared to last gen and the same games will (usually)…
Yeah, they could have at least patched in controller support for PC.
You covered various possible reasons in the penultimate paragraph there, and let me add one more - this is just one more case of Blizz massively screwing up PvE because they mistakenly think they can balance PvP and PvE (there was a PvP mode planned).
It was pretty obvious from the get go that Diablo 3 was designed for consoles. It's a fucking shame that we have the always online brick hanging from our necks as well as a lackluster PC interface.
I for one 100% will support always online
Lord's prayer can be pretty metal too.
Great, now I have to go play Civ again.
To burst your bubble, it's "AAAAAAABIIIIIITT", as in "abit" third-person singular preterite of "abire", to go or pass away. It is an adaptation of revelation 21.
Sid Meier is a devoted Christian so that might explain that kind of bias a bit (I highly doubt it though), but I kind of liked the implications of a Christian prayer being sung in a sub-Saharan African language using a variety of instruments from around the world and having elements of modern composition. It rather…
No, but it's cool that other people are finding out how awesome this song is (on various levels).
I'm not the slightest bit religious but can certainly appreciate the beauty of having a prayer set to music like that.
No, a lot of people knew this. Most Civ fans knew this. But Kotaku needs to viral random shit and get clicks.
Am I the only one here who already knew that "Baba Yet" was a Swahili translation of the Lord's Prayer?...
No, I totally agree with this. The quality of sound in BF4 is amazing. It was really good in BF3, too. I wear a 7.1 headset while playing, and the sound quality just blows me away all the time. From the slight rustle of the wind to gunfire to voices calling out in the distance... it's all just fantastic.
No doubt Battlefield 4 can have its visually beautiful moments. Know what I think is extremely underrated though? The sound design. Everything from the weapons, to changing volume of voices based on proximity to the echo of gunfire. I'm not knowledgeable enough to call it perfect but man... dat sound.
Long ass wait for that one...
Oh man, don't talk about The Last Guardian, it makes me cry.
Me too!
