but didn't WW2 start, in full, w/ assumptions of 'peace in our time'? (at least in the west, anyway. here in Asia, I think the Japanese empire had already been conducting operations in China for a while. then again, there were a lot of smaller conflicts prior to WW2, in various parts of the world *shrugs* )

Don't know about 'petty', but when I still played CoD4:MW w/ regularity, I get accused of using aimbot/wall-hack.

re: DA:O

Mine says over 1.5k hours, with almost 400 hours on Empire: Total War.

Yeah.

I used to play a fair amount of tabletop:

Hehehe, yeah. The Yogscast are awesome (esp. Simon and Hannah)

Yeah. If they were to release this w/ NO restrictive/annoying DRM (or, better yet, completely DRM FREE) for PC, then I think that I'll gladly pre-order it when that option becomes available. :)

Yeah. I kinda got that from the article, too. Maybe it's 'cause I'm a bit 'old' and played games at a time when reading manuals was a must (and I mean literally a must: when the copy protection was in the manual, whether it was Sword of Samurai's family crests, or those games that asked for page/sentence/words).

I'm pretty much happy w/ CDPR's recent announcement of a 'Cyberpunk' game, so I dunno what E3 could bring that I'd be real excited for...The Witcher 3, perhaps?

...and in some cases, the 'victim' just gets stabbed (from the back). sometimes it's stab (and some cases in local news, shoot), grab stuff, run. expats/people who withdraw cash, tend to be victims (here in Metro Manila, I'm starting to think that it's a good day not to hear about 'riding in tandem on motorcycle' not

Maybe Naughty Dog can release an Uncharted game w/ a female lead, as a 'reply' to the new TR.

The first PC at home was an XT in the 80s, if memory serves, followed by a 286, then a 486, a Pentium MMX, and a Pentium 4, with the last one lasting the longest before being replaced (I'm now using a Core i7 2600k. Still 'incomplete', tho', as it needs 'MORE', like a GPU that isn't a hand-me-down from the P4. Same

Nolan North should be accompanied by Emily Rose and Claudia Black. :D

As far as I know, there are only two books out (The Last Wish, which is sort of an anthology, I think, and The Blood of Elves, the first novel of the series, as far as I can recall). I don't think either books are necessary to enjoy the game.

well, I'd say yes, it's still 'sports' (sans the physical aspect, and the inclusion of the 'electronic' qualifier). motivation has to be high as regular practice is necessary to remain competitive. a friend who participated (I forget which game, but it was quite a while ago) said the practice takes the 'fun' out of

Tie Fighter was great (heck, they could just 'update' it w/ a modern engine and graphics and I'd buy it).

from what I recall (from kendo, mind you, I only stuck around for 2 years...wasn't around when someone started teaching iaido), you don't really need much strength w/ a real katana as its a slicing weapon (as w/ most, if not all, sword arts, you're supposed to aim for the weak spots, such as joints, to begin with...as

I want to...but, like some of the others here, Wasteland 2, The Banner Saga and Shadowrun Returns (the last one being the MOST I've ever spent on a single game. I've been a fan of the setting since the 1st edition of the PnP RPG) too my money.
