At this point the winner of the tournament should earn the right to play UConn. I don’t consider any title valid if the winner doesn’t beat UConn.

This is precisely why women’s basketball generally and the women’s tournament specifically is so uninteresting. There is almost no other sport where the outcome is so predetermined.

As a Buffalo sports fan I look forward to watching most analysts find a way to argue that Arizona lost this game rather than the actuality that Buffalo won it as they do any time we beat a favored opponent in any sport.

Decent upset but Arizona should not have been a 4 seed. They should have been a 5 or 6. And Buffalo should have been an 11 or 12. Bad seeding by a bias committee makes it look bigger than it is.

The biggest what if of Thomas’ career is if he had okayed the deal to Denver. They won the Superbowl that year and there’s no way adding one of the best to ever do it makes that team worse.
