What percentage of people say “thanks, but no thanks” after hearing your list of demands? If you want to be nice, be nice without stipulation. I understand Rules 2 and 3 for logistical reasons, but only sharing with people on your flight, asking them to turn off their devices, or requesting their food is antithetical

England’s Women’s National Team is sponsored by Hotel Tonight. They’re contractually barred from making future accommodations plans.

I don’t disagree, so I don’t understand what happened here. Why didn’t he just give him the base? Simply the macho factor?

Is there an advantage to a HBP instead of an intentional ball?  I get that he wasn’t going to throw him anything near the strikezone but if there’s no beef and you just want to put him on first to take the next batter, I don’t get why you plunk him.

I’m not heated enough to write an article about it, but it seems like they should have included more context as to who Till was. Especially putting him between two entertainers, including another black and white image of an old entertainer that many are too young to know. I fear that attendees would have seen the

I’m not sure this accomplishes that task though. It just shows his picture with no context. As a viewer, you either: A) know who he is and it’s meaningful, but didn’t need your awareness risen or B) don’t know who he is, see his picture next to another black and white photo of a famous entertainer, and think he

There are a few issues in this position:

I got greyed like a week or two after voicing dissent, so it might still be coming, bubba.

Read the last 11 words a little more carefully.

Isn’t it being presented as switching from a criminal offense to a civil offense, and limited to amending Section 13? I don’t think that anyone on the stage last night was discussing demo’ing the border crossing or points of entry, but rather not criminally prosecuting people crossing the border, as defined by Section

Oh, fuck. I’m 33 and I’ve been laughing at the old-man-Wayne jokes. Now I’ll be sad until I die.

If that was truly the case, isn’t that worse due to how it reflects on the writing and the editing of the article? The statements or lack thereof on the part of the men associated with US soccer is the central point of the whole article. If so many readers here that are verifiably on Deadspin every day (sorry, Mr. Boss

This is really bumming me out. I love this site, as do a lot of the other commenters on this post. I just wish they’d own up to a post slipping through without as much oversight as it might have needed, make the correction, and move on. I fully support equitable pay and standing behind missteps like this only

We can agree, if the company is fronting it and it’s anything over 2-3 hours, upgrades or bust. If I’m flying for me though, I’ll take a sore back for a couple days if it means I get to get a few Michelin starred meals for the same cost. Even with more room, I’m still always a bit sore anyway.

I don’t understand this logic. Say it’s $1500 to upgrade, since that’s the number used in this article. Assuming a 10 hour flight, that’s $150 dollars an hour. As a young-ish, able bodied person, I’ll gladly take $150/hour for 10 hours to sit in a slightly smaller seat with less leg room.

I got hit with the grey hammer like a week ago for one of my most lukewarm takes after being a regular commenter for like 5 years. Shit feels different these days.

Do you have any health concerns or just a lack of financial concerns? Because that’s at most a 10 hour flight depending on where you’re coming from.

Come on, man. You can make a claim that the press release is soft and ineffectual, but for the article to not acknowledge it, that’s a big miss. Acknowledge it and say that it isn’t enough, but you can’t simply claim that they’ve been dead silent in a this way when they’ve issued a collective statement.

And the 2020 Pistons Hopeful Fandom begins... See on the bubble next spring, and a quick round of golf very soon after.
