Except it’s Friday and there was no senate vote scheduled for today or the weekend. So at best it’s a couple of extra days for a ‘thorough’ investigation before they do what they were always planning do.

It’s not a criminal investigation, it’s a supplemental background check. They wouldn’t be looking for evidence to bring a criminal trial. It’s basically just a fact-finding investigation. The FBI will find and talk to the accuser, and the witnesses that the Senate refused to let testify. It’s “limited in scope,” but…

I’ m not buying this just yet. This needs to be a thorough investigation. If they get an FBI investigation that is over and done within a week, then we know this was all for show. Plus the fact that more women are coming forward, it adds more burden on Republicans to clear Kavanaugh.
This changes nothing and people need to stop celebrating.
