This hearing was so good, I’m afraid to take joy in it because of the tantrums that are probably coming in the next few days. Somebody better put the nuclear football on a high shelf.

i suppose the frustrating thing for me right now—and i hope all (and i mean ALL (pee pee and everything)) will be revealed in time—is that Yates’ (bombass lady btw) testimony makes it seem as though trump was just being reckless or carless or dismissive in hiring flynn.

May I say how refreshing it is to see one of these hearings where the interviewed subject not only HAS a working memory, but can also utilize it to make counter-points?

I watched the whole thing, couldn’t look away. The Republicans were assholes, all of them - maybe Graham moderated himself a bit - and were clearly more interested in emails (WTF?) and the circumstances of her termination than in Russian influence on the election, and Flynn’s Russian connections.

Yates 2020?? How amazing would it be if she beat Trump?? Can you imagine the debates? I know it won’t happen but I’d love to watch him try to debate her. Although Hillary defeated him in all of them and he still won the election. Hopefully he’ll be impeached, in jail or otherwise be unable to run in 2020.

I don’t even know if she’d identify as a Democrat, but regardless I’d be so excited if Sally Yates announced candidacy for President in 2020 (and no, I don’t suspect that’s on the radar of her present ambitions.)
