I agree that they hold up poorly. I have a soft spot for For Your Eyes Only because it was on HBO in the summer and I must have seen it 50 times.

She was entertaining!

Goldeye was/is great. I also think that Tomorrow Never Dies had one of the most plausible plots in any Bond movie EVER.

The sound of one hand clapping?

I enjoyed the series, but not as much as I wanted to. See, I don't like punk, and the first two episodes were just lousy with punk.

It's funny, because my ignorance is not willful; it's not like I'm intentionally avoiding the other songs. And I'm a deep cuts guy about bands I love.

But the remaining 1500 are just as good!

I poo-pooed Hey Jude last night. I usually hate radio edits, but if ever a song needs one, it's Hey Jude.

Apparently I'm a tourist when it comes to the Beatles, because I've never heard of half of these songs.

11:30 demands a band. And 11:30 always gets what it wants.

Hey Jude is just done for me. I used to really enjoy it but now…I feel every second in that final four minutes, and not in a good way.

Zing!

Seriously, nobody else is curious to see what happens with Olivia wilde's character in the real world?

I was a loyal regular watcher right through the end. But then again, I still watch The Simpsons too.

Interesting point. I'd like to see some demo research in a Venn Diagram showing who watches both shows. I know that's not exactly what you're saying, but reading your comment made me think of that.

I had forgotten that, but I remember now. I went to a taping in 2008 and by the quirks of the line, I was seated on the opposite side of the hall as the band. Will Lee was throwing picks to the crowd and I was pissed I was on the wrong side.

"I'm not sure people realize how rare it is to have wide-reaching mass appeal"

I think Colbert, as great as he's been as "Stephen Colbert" and other roles he's played, isn't going to be able to be as experimental and "out there" as he was on Comedy Central.

Now now, that new 4C looks sharp. And is apparently not a POS.

I liked the NBC band just a TOUCH better. A little more raw, a little less formal, and much more David Sanborn. But yeah, Paul and the band made substantial contributions to the show too.
