So I can't be the only person who thought the paint cans and wood chipper project looked fun. I think that would be a very cool way to decorate.

It's so difficult to find a good meat cake in my area…

I'm not sure the urge to get laid is all that base or far-fetched. You wander the country for two years, you're going to have URGES.

My thought exactly! It was just sitting there!

The problem with late-era Simpsons(well ONE of the problems) is that the little throw-away gags, whether they be signs on buildings or just tiny little jokes that used to be pleasant surprises are now the meat of the episode.

Oh YEAH. That's totally ridiculous. Up until then, that's a good movie. There are a few issues, but overall good.

All the SRV performances were great, and we're it not for ACL, I wouldn't have had my mind blown by Eric Johnson's late 80 appearance. The show has turned me on to some interesting new music, but not in the past five years or so.

"Regardless, I'd like a protective suit like the one the older son must have been wearing when he ran over the hill and the entire valley exploded."

I get what Wells was going for. Unfortunately, the themes and metaphors he utilized didn't make it through to the Spielberg movie.

"It's quite possible that an alien organism would be unable to support a disease from Earth, and vice versa."

There was a suicide bombing? I've seen this movie many times(while I have issues with multiple elements of it, there are some amazing visuals), and I don't remember the scene to which you refer.

It's wet. Hydrogen and oxygen atoms…three states of matter…

I was, and am still bothered more, by the "germs" element. I'm inclined to think that an alien life form intelligent enough to get here, and with all that technology, also understands microscopic life and the potential for disease.

I saw it. Really liked it too.

Huh. Nobody outside of the main body mentioned whiskey yet. I see Mad Men referenced as a prime driver of the spirits/bourbon boom all the time.

Sha-doobie!

I've been seeing it, and watching it more frequently in the past year or so. It pops up on the fringe movie channels quite a bit.

His partner Jimmy set the precident out in the desert regarding how much of your head remains after a close range gun shot.

No you're not, and that movie and his performance kick ass.

Yep, Steel Wheels, Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh. Rock and a Hard Place is probably the last song of theirs I really liked. But it was the height of classic rock radio, so most people were there for the Stones.
