I was rooting for "Bronn lives, but injures Drogon enough to send him and Dany away so that Jaime gets to live too" camp. As Myles said, I agree that Dany and Jaime's storylines have more to go, but Bronn… I was worried that the show could have offed him before what I hope is one last Tyrion meeting.

I mean, it's still H. Jon doing the voice with assets I'm sure they got permission to use. I doubt the Bob's Burgers team minded at all, honestly.

Agreed, it was shoehorned in. I think they should've just had Nic Pizzolatto voiceover a loud "CHARACTER TRAIT!" right after.

I thought it was semi-obvious last episode that Kitsch's character was gay, and I was happy with that as there was still some ambiguity in the air. But the bank story AND the male hooker spotting… way too on the nose. The best the show can do now is zag heavily away from that and go in a more novel direction (very

The interesting question is this: Does Jimmy become Saul validate Chuck's outlook or does Chuck's outlook push Jimmy into becoming Saul? Where is the cause and where is the effect? Or are they simply inseparable?

Oddly enough, I don't think there would be (is?) as much of a backlash against something like The Chappelle Show. Part of it is how well-known Chappelle is, and part of it is the cachet of his show (i.e. it's not cool to dislike Chappelle). But I think there's something else too, and I'm not sure what it is.

You're an anti-dentite, Jerry!

Tell me about it. He's probably WHITE too, lol. If you ask me, they should have their own schools.

Agreed. Though I do think there was a more appropriate place than week 9 of 10.

Good point. Also gives credence to Nora's supervisor asking if she'd mentioned anything about herself before the interview began (i.e. priming the interviewee)

What the? I missed this, can you explain?

Re: the sidewalk scene—I felt it actually *too* cruel for what we'd seen of GR so far. Not helping an innocent man who could quite conceivably join your cult seems out of character for the cult as we know and, considering the scene that followed, it seemed like an intentional "Wow this guys are dicks, amirite?" type

You make an excellent point and you're right about the ability for a held camera to create such a confrontation with the viewer. Perhaps what I'm trying to article is that up to that point the show hadn't really made me:

I really enjoyed your comment, but I'm not sure I agree with this:

You are taking this in such a way that makes me think you're insecure about your intelligence or about how many books you've read. You are also constantly rewording what I'm saying in a way that is incorrect. Stop.

Not well-read != uneducated. Putting words in people's mouths is *also* a great way to make friends, mate.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. If you don't mind, let's take a step back:

In a "the writers are writing the show, so obviously they have authority to designate what will be discussed" way, sure. But you knew that wasn't what I was getting at.

> If anything, I would compare The Leftovers very unfavorably with Twin Peaks.

Breaking Bad did have a ton of heavy handed metaphors, but we're not talking about Breaking Bad, we're talking about The Leftovers.
