Preggo jezzie checking in! I’m at 26 weeks now, I had a lot of nausea for the first two trimester that went away a few weeks ago, just in time for some sciatica to settle in. yaaaaay. I’ve had craaaaazy vivid dreams, but the weirdest is the sex dreams. My libido has been nonexistent when I’m awake- haven’t had sex

Hey! I’m getting sciatica too!! Started a few months ago and now I’m at 26 weeks and it’s been pretty on-going. Some nights I have to wake husband up to help me to the bathroom, but no cane... though I guess that’s because I’ve turned him into my cane. (also I’m so jealous that you’re at 36 weeks. like really jealous.

Nooooo but I LOVE being in controoooool!!!! Lol!

Thank you! It is good to hear a story that seems totally do-able. If I could have a labor like yours I’d be very happy ;-)

That’s the other thing that freaks me out- the post-labor stuff. How long until the pain went away for you?

Ugh that sounds awful! I’ve been learning so much of this pregnancy “wisdom” is stuff that everyone knows is bunk but they still do it anyways. It’s so frustrating.

I really really wanted to enjoy being pregnant but it just kinda sucks. I’m excited to have a baby at the end of this, but it’s been rough getting there. I

It’s funny, I hadn’t heard anywhere about the no eating rule, but you are the second person this week to mention it! My friend who’s going to be my doula said she’d sneak me in snacks just in case, lol.

Thank you for this. I really am nervous about the pain. I’ve always had terrible cramps, too, so I keep thinking it

Thanks, thats a good idea! I feel like the stories that have filtered my way are either the dry textbook ones from my pregnancy books or the horror stories delivered-on-the-side-of-the-road-miles-from-a-hospital-fifteen-weeks-early kind and I could really use some middle ground stories to maintain my sanity, ya know?

Entering into my third trimester and man oh man has it started to get uncomfortable. Now that my due date is getting closer, I’m starting to get nervous about labor pains. Anyone out there care to share your labor stories? Any tips or tricks to keep in mind? This is my first time doing this and any advice from those

For what it’s worth (and if you see this since I’m in the greys I don’t know) I’m the spin teacher at the Greenpoint NYSC on Sundays, and I’d love to see you in class! I’m not scary, and I can also vouch the girl who teaches the BodyPump before my Sunday spin class is also nice to new people (she’s a good friend of

The party of limited government... yep. totally.

I’ll chime in and say I’m pregnant now and we decided hyphens would make for an annoyingly long name so his name will work as the middle name, as in Baby Hislastname Mylastname.

congrats!

Oooof teeeeeeeellll me about it. I’ve been drowning in too many products that all seem *so* important to not messing up my future baby, trying to research this stuff is nuts. And then trying to stay on the frugal, minimalist side of things just makes the few purchases I do make that much more fraught with

Right?? I know people have strong feelings about Anne, I never have, but reading that made me yell “SHUT UP, ANNE!” as I eat breakfast and wonder if it’s too soon for a nap.

hopefully that clears it up. i know how scary it can be when your pets are sick, it’s always like “i wish you could just TELL me what’s going on!!” <3

How’s your cat doing???

If it makes you feel any better... I had the same problem. My cat twice had to have surgery for urinary crystals that were so huge they would have killed him. That was five years ago and he’s doing great! He has to eat medicated food for the rest of his life but he's still super sweet and energetic and loving. I'll

Filed under pregnancy tears: I was in the kitchen and didn’t realize husband was cuing up Parks and Rec. He turns it on to a scene where Leslie startles Ben and I yelled in surprise at the same time Ben does and I heard “did I scare you?” And I was like “YES!!” Husband was cracking up because he hadn’t said that,

Eh, they are fun and it’s nice to have photos of the two of us not taken on an iphone for once. I also appreciated the chance to get a good vibe going between us and our photog before the wedding. I’m not an introvert by any means, and have photographer friends that I’ve worked with so I’m not camera-shy, but even

Never was a fan of warm milk... Mom always made her grandsons “kid’s coffee”: a lot of milk, sugar, and whipped cream with a dollop of coffee. When my nephews asked me for a coffee the other day I started to make a kid’s coffee and they were like “uuuuuuh, you know we’re old enough for actual coffee now, right?”
