For a while I felt guilty over my predilection for the binge. I thought I was cheating myself out of savoring the experience. Eventually I realized that I don't actually savor things more in small drawn out chunks. It makes the experience seen smaller, not bigger. Long stretches up my immersion immensely, and I

Apparently you've never watched nighttime talkshows. Catholic priest jokes are hilarious! This will clearly be the best comedy of the year.

I thought Britta was great in season three when she was the focus.  When it was just cheap one liners at her expense, it was horrible.  Though to my mind cheap one liners were the worst part of season for everyone and everything.  Really brought a lot of the characters down.

I talked with him about my religious background.

I think at its core it was as good as ever, but around the edges it was fucking disintegrating.

I don't think lowered expectations are going to do it for me on this.  I already have a standard to judge Community by.  It's not like a movie where all you have is your expectations to react against.

I'd use tone.  Tone is really fucking tricky to master and if you fuck it up even great material can become total shit.

I think @avclub-884c4beddd8c98bb3b016bdfcc1bcdf8:disqus has it right that what doesn't make it on the air is where the showrunner matters.  They're the filter.  You could have a showrunner that writes absolutely none of the episodes but is still a key influence on the tone of the show simply by selecting what makes it

My favorite dynamic for the study group is when they devolve into a swirling seven way argument of hurt feelings and shifting alliances.  A model UN seemed like the perfect place for such a meltdown.  Instead they broke down because someone farted.  Just seemed like a horrible waste of a good premise.

A better translation from the original Italian would be Identity Thieves

Still waiting for Wizard People

I don't often agree with you Mr. @avclub-85d8ce590ad8981ca2c8286f79f59954:disqus but on this one you're totally right.

I agree, and I still think that if he sticks the ending these two may end up reading a lot better than they did piece meal.  Waiting for years for a book and then it doesn't even have your favorite characters is going to leave your audience disappointed, and rightly so.

Also I don't like this implication that we're only good at killing brown children. Over the years we've killed a shitload of white and Asian children too. Sure it's been a while, but if we had to we could do it again. This is America goddamn it.

@avclub-e576423831e043f7928d9ac113abbe6f:disqus that's entirely irrelevant to what people are complaining about in this thread.  The complaint here is the fucking ridiculous notion that political centrism somehow always goes with a civil temperament and strong reasoning ability. The centrists won the language war on

@avclub-0d4efaa2c9d1041eb9b8b5319eec8531:disqus  did give a reason.  The radical right actually has power and is therefore deserving of satire.  The radical left is already an impotent joke, so no reason to rub it in.

Say what you will about Obama; the man is an excellent murderer.
