I’ll give you some insight from someone who sold Fords for 23 years (I started in 1997 at 20yrs old to Jan 31 2020 when I left due to severe Crohn’s Disease). I’m met Hau Tai-Tang. He’s a brilliant engineer and a true car guy (met him when he was the lead on the S197 Mustang in 2006 in Carlisle). He truly knows his

I already have an all aluminum vehicle, it’s 22 years old and is rated for 68city/74highway.

Counterpoint, earlier sunrise let’s me get some fishing in and still get to work at a reasonable hour.

Your not wrong that the maps are ridiculous. But time zones help put things into perspective for people in terms of a normal “day”. This is especially important in a global society.

I hate changing time but maybe they chose the wrong one? From the NY Times article:

“Yes!” exclaimed Senator Kyrsten Sinema, Democrat of Arizona, who flashed a big smile and clenched both her fists in triumph as she presided over the chamber.

Not this person, at least. I purposely bought an ILX with a 2.4 and a 6MT because I wanted something a bit nicer than the civic. I have passed on many cars because I couldn’t get the manual without giving up the bells and whistles. I want all the fun toys, and I want to row my own gears. I plan to purchase one of

Its common to say a ship is “under steam” or “sail” to a destination. old terms stuck around.

I still dial a number on my cell phone

Maybe.... but I dont own a 700 million dollar yacht or a 7000 dollar yacht. So that will get filed in my “ less than zero fucks given” folder.

I know you’re being sarcastic [I hope]. A two second search because I type slow gives the 2nd definition of “to set sail” as: begin a voyage.

Eh two tires remain at least on the curb, which the game doesn’t penalize, at least in the online races in GT Sport. I’ve done that same maneuver probably a thousand times. God I love that chicane

Tough crowd here — I watch ALL of them. Counting Cars, Gas Monkey, Top Gear (I don’t get it, TBH), JDM Legends, Biker Build Off, Texas Metal, those Motortrend British ones with a budget (there are like 3 of them - Goblin Garage maybe?), Orange County, Roadkill (prob my fave), you name a car show, I am watching.  It’s

Graveyard cars. Mark W is such an annoying tool to watch and listen to. And all the usual formulaic tricks are there to get you hyped up. I think their end products are fantastic bordering on fanatical but I just can’t stomach him.

Diesel Brothers!

Texas Metal, or whatever it’s called.

Have you watched any of the current season where they moved back to the UK?  No Edd unfortunately, but they have a former F1 mechanic Marc “Elvis” Priestly and he’s far better than Ant Anstead.

I watched an ep or two of graveyard carz (yes, with a Z because so edgy and cool). The main guy just kept coming up with (i.e. likely completely scripted in) useless knowledge of mopars as a “gotcha” whenever his ego felt particularly fragile. “yeah well, you didn’t know that in 1972 the coronet RT only had 765

Street Outlaws.

Counting cars is pretty irritating for sure.
Pimp my ride was really an awful show, but I still watched it back in the day, so probably can’t say its the worst.
Personally I like the NA version of Top Gear, its not as good as the original of course, but its still a good show.

The one I can’t watch are “street” drag

Graveyard Cars was garbage, don’t know if it’s still on or not. Otherwise any NASCAR Pre-race show
