I thought her character was poorly written and her acting was over the top silly, meaning poor quality. I thought the upside down thing simply wasn’t explored enough to make any sense or be terribly interesting.

Unfortunately, Stranger Things wasn’t really all that. I think people wanted to love it, so they loved it. It was enjoyable, though Ryder’s hysterical character and performance render like a quarter of it un-rewatchable. The whole upside down world thing or whatever was pretty much incoherent.

So ageism in Hollywood is IMDB’s fault? I could’ve sworn it was the ageist casting directors who were responsible.
