I think it must have been some mod someone had installed or someone must have swapped out a sound file as this copy of CS made it’s round through our LAN party group.

I remember paying it at the beginning, sitting in my office at 20 or 21.

de_jeepathon was hilarious when it first came out. It was released just before we had a LAN party and everyone was so excited. It’s amazing how much fun we got out of something that’s today so simple, like having cars in a multiplayer game.

GI Joe cars was my favorite map because of the weird car physics. Half the time your entire team was murdered by the weird geometry as the cars collided.

Sounds to me like decent skilled players don’t want a challenge or even get smashed by people better than themselves so they want to pick on people not so good at FPS to make themselves feel like they are god tier ??
