AS much as I agree with your assessment that Rockstar are being full on predatory and greedy with their online produces, I can’t deny that they have developed a rock solid single player experience in RDR2 and GTAV. Those games are well worth the price of admission when you compare them to other full price games.

Some of the assets you can find on the Unreal Marketplace / Unity Store are of a pretty high quality. I actually wouldn’t mind the day where developers can pick up boring props like street lamps, and trees to ease the burden of making a game that doesn’t look like crap. Having been in the game industry since 2000. I agree with your assessment. I was very fortunate to have entered this industry during it’s infancy. Nowadays, the sheer number of developers getting churned out of game dev schools makes it very difficult for new graduates to find a job.

From what I hear from fellow developers, many of them tend to not bother getting a license from McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, Lockheed or any of the jet manufacturers. The current Honda design language reminds me of the Japanese mecha design of Gundam and Robotech. I grew up watching these as a kid and I was hugely into other anime so that’s probably why I quite love the latest designs from Honda.
