I don’t doubt the validity that allowing blacks to buy their vehicles helped save Cadillac, I’m simply suggesting that there are claims made in this piece (as well as the original) that aren’t actually backed up with any proof. That’s not exactly great journalism.

No it doesn’t. It also makes a large claim without much backing it up, though, it is a bit clearer in the reasoning behind Dreystadt’s intentions behind the move. It wasn’t to improve sales volumes, but rather, an attempt to directly capture a bit more profit.

You’d think this article would have some better numbers. Maybe a few years of sales numbers, and then sales numbers to black people over those years. I’m not doubting it’s true, but what the fuck is the point of a whole entire article if virtually none of it backs up the headline. The headline could have served as the

Chevrolet says a “base” Bison is a hair over $60k. Seems like the Ranger Raptor is the deal in the segment at $55.6k; I would have thought for sure the Bison would have undercut the Raptor, though, is it possible the “plain” ZR2 is a better comparison to the Ranger Raptor?

“In the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in Delaware, Fisker estimated its assets to be between $500 million and $1 billion, and it had liabilities between $100 million and $500 million.”

That is grotesque and should be criminal, at least make them contract if the company does not want to pay them hourly and make it a good contract.

But I don’t think Ford was going for “lithe”.

This was 100% the boat captain’s fault. I grew up in Vancouver and in the harbour. I have navigated power boats and sailboats through the harbour many many times.

The R1200C was trying to compete against the larger/more expensive Harleys.  It was way too premium (and thus expensive) to compete against Sportsters, even the largest Sportsters.

As if it’s my fault Dodge produced such a masterpiece

Surprised we didn’t get that one guy recommending this not-often heard of Charger from the oh-so-rare brand that no one knows: Dodge.

Did you say it wasn’t a cost competitive EV, and then just use the ID4 as the comparison?  LOL dude.  LOL.

Neat. Similar to GM part 15199033? Sierra 1500, Sierra 2500, Sierra 3500, Silverado 1500, Silverado 2500, Silverado 3500, Yukon XL 1500, Yukon XL 2500, Yukon, Tahoe, Suburban 1500, Suburban 2500, Avalanche 1500, Avalanche 2500, Escalade, Escalade EXT, and Escalade ESV.

328d’s both sedans and wagons were auto only, no choice on that.

That paint and interior are well received among the BMW fans.

I will be perma-banning whoever said the Dodge Ram

I totally agree! But it’s also possibly that is still shorter than when compared to a traditional rack an pinion (or recirculating ball, or... you get the point).

Just a theoretical example: If it takes a driver 1 second to turn a traditional rack and pinion to full lock, what the fuck does lag matter on an electronic steering rack if it takes a driver 0.5s to get to full lock, plus 0.125s of lag. That would still be faster than a traditional system.
