carbon brake package and they were hot trash in the city and in traffic.

+ Classic/collector cars are usually exempt from state mandated inspections

I mean, you are showing an old ass 911. New ones are at least tolerable for a short jaunt for an adult in the back.

So by that logic no one should want any classic car, cause ya know, modern ones are totally the same thing just with more power, right?

Bullitt is the easy go to, right? Maybe a bit too car focused?

I mean, I get what you’re saying; but also sport trucks like this are just fun in a different way. It’s not like it is any less useful than a Miata. You just get big noise, big power, (relatively) fast speeds, and burnouts instead of tight handling and slow speeds like a Miata. Different strokes for different folks.

So ahhh, where is a single cab shortbed Sierra with at least similar sporty suspension and 0-60 times?

My wife sees cars as appliances and doesn’t understand why I like cars so much. However, she loves the traditional Top Gear hosts. So does my mom. So do my in-laws. Lots of non car people like Top Gear because it doesn’t actually get that detailed into the cars themselves. They just use cars as a tool to tell funny,

I mean, with that logic, do you even need a car? I’m sure you could technically get anywhere you need by foot, bicycle, or public transport. At best, if you do truly need a car, I’m sure a 91 Civic hatch would meet all your needs. Let’s be real here, your need for a car isn’t any more real or significant than parents

Exactly. I have a double cab Tacoma, people are surprised at how poorly a modern car seat fits in it. Modern, rear facing child seats take up a ton of space. Modern booster seats take up a ton of space.

I bet the cool grid taillights make it through too.

How does that help with distracted driving and poor driver behavior at all?

I’m a firm believer that a Suzuki SV650 is one of the best beginner bikes. Mild enough to not be dangerously dumb, peppy enough to be fun for a long while after you start, big enough for most people, comfortable enough for most uses, etc. Yeah, it’s not glamorous or very good looking; but it’s reliable, affordable, and

It’s a classic jalopnik response. “IDK why you would get [insert reviewed car here], when you can get [insert: (a) drastically cheaper car that isn’t even close to the same thing; (b) “cheaper” used car that will surely cost more in repairs than the bank note on said reviewed car; or (c) similarly priced car, but no

It’s 2021, an “ends justify the means” acceptance is more than a faux pas at this point.

Psssssttt. Subaru hasn’t cared about speed in a long time. See their entire line up, it has some of the worst power & performance figures when compared to the competition. But, most Subaru owners don’t buy based on speed & power, so this shouldn’t have anything more to worry about over other Subaru.

Man, I must have had a stroke when I wrote the previous comment....

Its just called non-metallic paint. It’s what almost all cars were painted with back in the day and it is coming around again mostly because metallic paints are harder to physically do on a production line. Now they are coming back because it’s different than the metallic that everyone has been doing for decades and
