Agreed. So many of the freshman group of Dems in the house are amazing for just taking up the mantle and running, and many have such great stories of their own, but her’s stands out, for obvious reasons. 

When they say things like that, they’re telling on themselves. They know (but usually won’t admit) that they vote for white candidates when they’re running against candidates of color because they’re white, so they assume people of color will inevitably do the same.
