You know, in the old days in NYC, one of the sure signs that a place was just a front for the mob was that most “employees” were in no-show jobs. They had a title, but never did anything that people with that title do in regular places.

Well, they do have the show ‘the neighborhood’ with cedric the entertainer. But it still more revolves around the white guy moving into the black neighborhood than the other way around.

I have noticed I get put in FB jail faster as a white chick if I call out misogyny than racism. So, I spend more time calling out racism. Maybe it confuses the little dude bros trying to moderate?

As a woman, I appreciate the ability to verify sellers as a black woman the visibility that comes with FB can lead to discrimination. If a business seller only has a FB page I figure they don’t want my money. I shouldn’t be forced to surrender my privacy just to make a purchase.

In fairness, while Facebook is a horrible company, there are still plenty of legit uses for it. I almost exclusively sell vehicles through Facebook nowadays. Overall, I feel much safer knowing that I can essentially stalk my buyer before they show up. Every sale on Craigslist feels like a crapshoot.
