It’s not so much hate as recognizing a disingenuous reaction from Hamilton. I don’t so much care that he called for the penalty, it just seems like he’s playing a part to avoid as much blowback as possible. 

I think F1 needs to realize that it will always be an anachronism more akin to NASCAR than anything else. Trying to encourage hybrid engines and applicable road car technology no longer makes sense unless they want to go full electric. I have to disagree in this scenario. The Mustang is a piece of American history. If that was a photo of a brand new Lamborghini being saved most of us would say “why?". They burn themselves to the ground all the time anyway.
