You’re wrong. Studies have found that, overall, women receive lighter sentences or no sentences for the same crimes, compared to men, but especially when it comes to sex crimes.

Rewatching the British version, it really hit me what a smug, superior arse Tim was. He downplays it with self-deprecating humour, but he mainly aims his barbs at others. Having also watched ‘Hello Ladies’, it seems Stephen Merchant (who Tim was based on) has disdain for blue collar workers.
