Some stuff should not be made in an instant pot....but some really time consuming stuff like Indian food which is mostly made in a pressure cooker is so much easier! Also if you are lazy like me you can cook frozen meat in it! So all those crock pot meals I planned to make can be made in an hour with frozen meat.

This is nonsense. A microwave is also a convenience appliance, but the food that comes out of it is generally...not great.
