I really don’t understand why the AV Club is shilling so hard for Tarantino these days, given their implacable position on other offenders. Granted, I might be giving the photos of him suckling the toes of an impossibly small-legged “woman” that arose at the same time too much credence, but even discounting that, Uma

I don’t get a lot of Internet things that someone my age probably should, like ASMR or Twitch, but I get this. Only because I watched the second one from 2015, which is much better than the featured one.

I can’t tell if John Travolta is turning into Ron Perlman or the other way around.

It would have to be either a deeply depressing story about the banality of evil or focused entirely around modern day abolition efforts. As racist as the United States remain and as much as the last few years have called this into question, it’s at least still difficult to imagine a world where the US could openly

It kind of sucks that she’s being rewarded, but I think the implicit comparison to the Son of Sam victims via the law’s nickname is what really makes me not feel bad at all for the “victims” in this one.

To me, the part where she says that there are various social reasons that it needs to be this way is the important part. If you take that to be truthful, she’s otherwise just lamenting the way the world is.

I was about 11 when I saw Silence of the Lambs, and I explicitly was not allowed to watch slasher movies. My mom’s main issue with them was not that I’d be scared but that they were cheap and stupid, and Silence of the Lambs was not.

Blair Witch was too nauseating for me to enjoy in the theater (and it was worse for my grandmother, who took me), but it was absolutely terrifying when I saw it years later at home by myself. The Ring was the opposite. I saw it once in the theater and everyone was scared shitless, but I watched it with someone else

Clearly, this was Comedy Bang! Bang! self-proclaimed fan favorite dirtbag, Rudy North.

The one song I’ve heard sounded more like new Sting than old Bowie.

Yeah, on one level I totally get that, but from my point of view, your Random Roles are the most memorable.

Yep. I was going to mention that it’s not really Random Roles if it’s not WillHarrisInVA, but I tried to stay constructive and just ask for at least a transcript.

Since when has Random Roles been a video feature?  Is there a transcript?

So, the linked article was unrevealing. How did they manage to get stuck with Boaty McBoatface, anyway? I’m guessing it wasn’t a write-in, unless someone campaigned well for it.

Rerolling BG characters is like Solitaire for nerds. Reroll until you hit 90+ overall points, allocate them, listen to the prologue narration, and save your game and never actually play that character..

It’s because you didn’t name your band Frankenstein’s Monster Hump Day.

I’ll check it out.  Thanks!

You’re paying for a lot of content you don’t use, I bet. HBO probably gets the same $13 to $18 depending on whether you subscribe directly or through Amazon or the cable/satellite companies. Since you’re using the latter, I’m guessing you pay for HBO all year, though. I turn digital subscriptions on and off all the

Care to elaborate on this cryptic comment? I don’t get it.  People” is plural in the context you used it, by the way, unless that’s part of the hidden message you’re sending.

I don’t really care about spoilers in general, thankfully, but yeah, that definitely just happened to me, too. I’ve watched the first three seasons by buying it on Amazon, so I was also surprised that the fourth season was not only out but also finished.
