Even as a little kid, when I was supposed to think it made them terrible people, my favorite scene in the original Poltergeist was when Coach and his wife smoked weed.  I like to think it helped them keep it together while they tried to get their daughter out of that TV.

Machista means male chauvinist in Spanish. I wonder if it has something to do with that.

It doesn’t even specify CK, so it seems any unannounced comedian you don’t like gets your check covered. Seems like a good time to get drunk and offended in New York.

I wonder if they’ll keep in all the braid-tugging and skirt-smoothing.

Literally not noticing a person’s skin color doesn’t exist, but there are a ton of people out there who believe that people are people and fervently want to live in a world where that’s taken for granted—not enough, apparently, but more than there were 50 years ago (and, admittedly, less than I’d have thought 5 to 10 y

Nah, not really, but I hated it less than Two and a Half Men.

Friends actually holds up without a laugh track in those clips where they remove it, which really makes me further realize how terrible the Big Bang Theory is, because it definitely does not.

Yeah, weird. I wasn’t reading too much into it to begin with, but I did notice it.

It’s interesting that this is the first article that I’ve seen where the AV Club seems to have relaxed the editorial standard of using we statements rather than I statements.

Congratulations, Internet.  Now that you’re 18, get out of my house.

What subject matter? This is a fluff piece. I’d agree with your larger point, but choosing rev_skarekroe’s comment to make it seems a little ridiculous.

My main takeaway from this article is disappointment that Alyson Hannigan uses abbreviations when she’s well within the character limit.

I don’t understand why people would want to watch people prepare food while even partially naked.  Put your shirt on, and throw a hat on, too, while you’re at it.

Yep, I’ve been commenting randomly and not all that prolifically since around 2010 and reading since long before that when I stumbled on the AV Club from The Onion in high school. Even though I didn’t comment a ton, with the departure of Phipps and crew to the Dissolve, the commentariat really kept my interest in the

Even though it’s only four shows, it’s true. I was expecting much more based on the first paragraph, but I didn’t realize it was What’s On Tonight until I saw Politics Corner.

I was a Gaiman fan first (and American Gods my favorite novel), but Hannibal made me a Fuller fan. There are a ton of ways I’d trust him to tell different stories inside the overarching adaptation of the book, which is what I thought they were going for. I don’t really want a straight adaptation, and so far the

I eventually settled on assuming he was trying to say that every Eminem album that comes out is considered bad for a period of time after its release, which would be news to me but I kinda get it. I never rush to listen to anything he puts out, but I end up liking a lot of it when other people play it.

The coverage here of Amram’s food pun addiction keeps reminding me of Harris Wittels’ idea for a Jamaican/Irish/Spanish small plate breakfast restaurant called Tapas the Mornin’ to Jah that provoked a startled “Oh” from St. Vincent on Comedy Bang! Bang!

Yeah, I agree with your comment.  Just commenting further.

To be fair, I’ve worked with Texans, and the way they use it doesn’t often make sense.  It took me a few years to realize “Y’all have a good night” just meant me and not me and my family or something.
