@misssgolightly: As I said before, I would imagine it has more to do with less stress placed upon you by "traditional society" and familial expectations.

And if the clothing is anything like that in bollywood videos, it's not all that 'covered up'.

So, basically what this says is that you're less likely to develop mental issues started during your childhood if you actually listen to your parents instead of enduring the abuse and stress caused by going against their wishes, no matter how inane the tradition may be.
