Oh, I could certainly keep going. I haven't even touched upon my favorite non-ageist porn stars.

"(D)oes anyone really want to spend a single minute of this Kevin James show thinking about death?"

This year's Great Job, Internet! bumper crop had a favorable impact on commodities futures.

Eh, on the other hand, I'm fine watching Burnett, Betty White, Carl Reiner, Dick Van Dyke etc. these days… sure they're old, but they're clearly enjoying themselves while they're able, and that's heartening to me. Death can come for any of us at any moment. Which, coincidentally, would make a great tag line for CBS'

The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Gru Manchu

The positive takeaway is you know where your employee and her husband are going to be for two hours, which is ample time for social services to rescue their children.

Chris Pine first came to my attention in Smokin' Aces, and gives both a great comic and character performance there. Honestly, I don't think any movie he's been in since has given him the opportunity to really show off his acting chops.

Although there's far too many great moments in the WB classic cartoon stable for me to properly rank, Stan Freberg and Bea Benaderet's performances in the Father's Day pageant of A Bear for Punishment might make that my favourite all-time Looney Tunes scene (and of course, with Billy Bletcher as Pa Bear).

I'm soaking in it right now!

My guess is that Candie is another Dougiesque Black Lodge escapee.

All 18 in one hour on 18 television screens…

It's true! Just doing my part for science education.

It's long been a fascination how the career choices actors and their handlers make determines the impact they have in the cultural firmament. I sometimes wonder if The Abyss had been a huge success, would Ed Harris have wound up in the same movie-star league as Ford, Gibson, Cruise, etc.

Ditto. I don't know how anyone nowadays could nail the tone of that movie; it was simultaneously reverential and satiric, and I'm hard-pressed to think of any recent film or filmmaker that hits such a tricky bullseye. It's probably best they just do a new historical docudrama and leave out the Wolfe connection.
