I’ve put on no defense trials in the past, where I was just ‘effort costing’ the prosecutor for refusing to negotiate a plea deal. It’s gonna take at least 15-20 minutes to fill out the jury form correctly.

Yes. That’s exactly how the British historically understood things. Race is a social construct, and as it’s constructed in the US is not how it’s constructed in other cultures. Especially with relation to how the English view the Irish.

I would like to point out that the ‘evil humans’ aren’t evil.  In the lore of Middle Earth they’ve only ever been governed by Sauron or his predecessor Morgoth.  They are his subjects not his followers.

As an attorney, identifying yourself when and agreeing to a search are WAY different.

I am not. I passed the bar exam on the first try. But the bar exam has a 75% passage rate on the first try, 11% passage rate on the second try, and a 9% passage rate on the third try.

Also, JDs that don’t pass the bar exam.

And how is shaming people on Facebook supposed to help or protect anyone?  

Well any path to change is about recognizing that (1) most people disagree with you about most things; and (2) this is a democracy. So, suck it up and catch more flies with honey.

I don’t know where an orthopedic surgeon makes less than $250k a year.  I would not be surprised if there are more orthopedic surgeons makeing $1 million+ than making less than $250k (after residency of course).

I’m an attorney who graduated with $120k in student loans and my wife is Pharm. D. who left residency with $280k in student loans. We together just make under the $250k cap for figevness.

That’s not any sort of successful path towards change.

Justified shooting, or excused, would be the legal terms of art.

This is an actual workeable solution, because the law is clear that state soveriegnty doesn’t reach into tribal lands.

She’s a damn good attorney, but I’m confident she’s making her arguments for the sake of political persuasion, so people *feel* there is something to do right now.

The Republican plan was to vote for Republicans, no matter who, for 50 years.  At every  level of government in every election.  To quote Bill Clinton: Liberals want to fall in love; conservatives fall in line.
