We did something very similar, us, a local church, officiant, and witnesses. The church was an adorable A-frame chapel out in the woods, dirt floor, sat maybe 20, and a wall of windows framing the mountain peaks. We reserved it by putting a post it note on the bulletin board by the door. It was perfect.

My 12 year old left for school the other day in levis, a white t, black chucks, and a hoodie. Which meant that I had to find something different to wear lest I really embarrass him by dropping him off in matching outfits.

It may not be too late! My town has an adult girl scout “troop”. They mostly do fundraising and retreats and generally support the local troops.

At the little fishes instance we’re going to drive the 3 hours to protest dumpster fire’s Phoenix rally Tuesday. I am making them Marion Cunningham’s raised waffles for breakfast tomorrow. I’m so proud of them, and the waffle batter is alive and bubbling on the counter.

Thanks! He’s pretty good about routine (thanks years of asthma meds) and, in general a pretty great kid (I am totally unbiased) who is usually up to shop with mom, especially when I promise that yes I went to middle school, and yes it sucks, but this might help. Ours are full of various sheep dog mixes, ranching country and all. Smart, wonderful, loyal dogs but darn do they need something to do.
