Really? I hated the grille when I first saw it and I hate it even more every time I see it in the real world. I used to lust after BMWs. Now I’m actively repelled by them.

$30k could be a NP for one of the “finest.” GTV6s. Sadly, this does not appear to be that. Still, irrational NP because I never ND an Alfa.
It requires an alpha Alfa enthusiast.
I’d say the Rivian R-1T. It looks cutesy and maybe a little derpy, and it’s a truck. But it also runs the 1/4 mile in the 11s. You can sleep in the bed- there’s even a factory tent accessory for it.
If we aren’t meeting in person, then we aren’t going to pretend it’s a “happy hour” and drink beers alone in front of our computers. No employer is going to demand that. We can just stick to business.
Yes. I want to meet them if we are round to do business- not awkwardly drink alone in front of a computer screen.
Yeah, social zoom stuff blows, especially with vendors. Did some of that back in 2020. Never again.
Some things just don’t work well over zoom. You can’t hug a loved one over Zoom. It works fine for short business meetings with co-workers or people you already know, but it doesn’t work well for extended negotiations and it’s difficult to build rapport without the personal touch.
That’s the fundamental problem: if you do need to travel (some things must be done in person), slower than sound aircraft are fast enough. Going east, you can fly overnight so you don’t lose that much waking time. Going West, you gain hours, so you don’t lose much clock time. Jet lag will happen even if you were…
That’s the SVR. It’s not just a “sport.” The regular Range Rover (not sport) is quicker than the non-SVR sport.
The “sport” designation almost never means “Motorsport.” In fact, I can’t think of any brand where the really fast one is designated “sport.”
The headline makes it sound like Tesla owners are lining up around the block to do this. This is a tiny number of people, and it’s not about Tesla at all. I met a dude back in 2010 who had implanted an RFID chip in himself.
Pretty soon, every vaguely recognizable model name from every going concern brand will come back as an electric CUV (but will be called an SUV).
But there isn’t a “middle ground.” Lowering power doesn’t get you more range. Range requires more battery, which is a lot more expensive than a bigger motor.
Problem is that EVs don’t work like that. You don’t get more range for dropping down in power. To get more range, you need a bigger battery. This chassis likely can’t fit any more battery than it already has.
Harley v twin from the “loud pipes save lives crowd.” One continuous fart.
They are going to be lucky to have a space program at all by 2030, let alone a functioning space station.
SUV lap records are the dumbest thing ever. There is no real definition of an “SUV”, so you get a bunch of hatchbacks with a tall roofline and big wheels setting “SUV lap records.”
It wasn’t really marketed and was only sold in fully loaded automatic form when new. It was also doomed from inception with the planned wind down of Holden.
