I gave up on radar detectors a long time ago. They just give you a false sense of security. Most highway patrol types are using LIDAR or Instant on these days.

Only if you are a Q anon member.

Personally, I hope Max is shut out from ever being WDC. He just reeks of entitlement. I think Russell could help shut him out once he has a real car. Hold Max off a couple more years, and there will be a new wunderkid.

Did you follow LeClerc at all during 2020? He had multiple spins/crashes from being over-aggressive. He went toe to toe with Max several times back in 2019 when Ferrari had a more competitive car and may do so again in 2022.

He still is, and will likely finish there unless he has a blowout showing in Abu Dhabi.

I’m not sure Red Bull has ever had a 1-2 finish. Like I said, one or both of the Mercedes has to finish out the points (either DNF or something like a puncture/new front wing) AND RB needs to double podium. Possible, but highly unlikely. Anyhow, I agree that they wouldn’t intentionally send Checo on a Kamakaze

If anybody at all in the world of motorsport would be involved with Epstien, I would expect it to be Bernie Ecclestone.

Stockholm syndrome is a real thing.

WCC is for Red Bull is pretty unlikely after last weekend. They are 28 points down. That gap pretty much requires one or both Mercedes to finish out of the points AND for Verstappen to win WDC.

I don’t really hear much Bottas hate. He’s done his job well and most people would agree.

Williams’ standing is mostly the result of Russell’s  fluke podium at spa. I don’t think the car is really any better than Alfa’s.

Always the chance that Mazapin takes them out by sheer ineptitude when getting lapped.

Or Perez for that matter. Though Checo doesn’t seem like the type.

How does a shop that’s well equipped enough to have a lift not have an impact wrench at their disposal? It would pay for itself in a few days in terms of saved labor cost.

Yes, I suppose that is how a lot of them end up. They can typically be fixed much cheaper south of the border given labor rates there.

Yes, and it’s going to be tough to make the stewards believe a collision is an accident after last weekend.

People don’t outright scrap cars that are truly perfectly good. They trade those cars in and they end up on the BHPH circuit after auction. But what happens is usually a repair that exceeds the value of the vehicle. Such vehicles are typically only saved if someone can DIY the repair (bringing down the cost below

So what you are saying is you’d need to sell your soul for a Soul?

I wouldn’t be so sure. There is a structural oil supply deficit. Omicron caused a short-term crash which may provide some relief, but stockpiles are still drawing (albeit currently being covered up by strategic petroleum reserve releases).

Interestingly enough, the income tax was originally only conceived as a tax on the wealthy. It was only WWII that dropped it down to the middle class. But someone making less than $50k is mostly only paying payroll taxes, and a family making $50k shouldn’t be paying much (if any) income tax. A family making
