Definitely looking forward to this. I’ll happily play through the game again, especially if I can get it running at 4K/60fps.
I completely agree. I’d replay on PC if they added controller support.
I thought those were all Hasbro.
I collect old LCD games, but the Tiger games are some of the worst. Even Radio Shack was able to make LCD games that were actually fun to play, but Tiger simply didn’t seem to have a clue. Nintendo is still the king of LCD games, with so many of the G&W series still being extremely fun to play.
Games are a bit of an exception. It’s important to note that there are quite a few Xbox One X games that display at 4K but render at lower resolutions. I’d recommend checking out Digital Foundry on YouTube for in-depth analysis of games
Just because something is being sent to your display in 4K, doesn’t mean you’re actually getting the benefits of that resolution. The majority of the benefit you’d see in that content is due to HDR. HDR is much more important than the higher resolution.
Most films are finished in 2k. That’s what you get on UHD BDs. HDR is where the real benefit comes, not in extra resolution.
“and remember, there’s practically no 8K content to play on them”
I was really sad coming out of Rise, as I didn’t like it at all. I even gave it another chance, with a second viewing, where I came out disliking it even more. I’ve barely thought about it since. You know why? The Mandalorian.
Edited, as I’d rather not start a whole argument here.
I’d be all over this if the Switch was Red as well. We need more themed\coloured Switch consoles!

I don’t really have anything new to add to this conversation. I just feel the need to state how much I absolutely LOVE this show. I fully expect to be let down by Rise tomorrow night, but The Mandalorian has provided me with so much enjoyment that Rise’s disappointment won’t hurt as much.
You know what would be great? Not having potential spoilers pop up in post titles on the site!
It’s complete BS that the original prints don’t exist anymore. It’s pretty well known that original prints are available and they’ve even been scanned and released for free on the internet. There are even 4k transfers of Star Wars and Jedi, with Empire coming in a year or so.
The trailer looks pretty cool. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to play this. With all the time I’ve spent using VR over the years, I’ve learned that I absolutely cannot play horror games in VR. My body’s fight or flight response always goes to flight, which makes playing pretty much impossible.
“I quite enjoyed Cowboys & Aliens”
While no one can deny these look great, there’s no way I’m backing this. The fact they won’t be available for over a year, won’t be balanced and there’s a huge risk in them being unable to meet their demand given the success of the Kickstarter campaign.
I think the more interesting thing in that shot is they appear to be in Cloud City.
Do yourself a favour and get an Odroid XU4 or N2 instead.
