I just got back from seeing Chapter 2. No spoilers here, but I’ll say the movie was way too long. There’s a good 30 - 40 minutes that could easily be cut. Overall, I thought it was ok. It has a ton of problems, but there’s enough decent stuff that I’d rate it 6/10.

As others have already stated, this is not a toy.

I’ll continue buying BD and UHD disks until the day I can buy a high quality, full bitrate version of a film that I can play wherever I choose.  Streaming quality simply isn’t the same and I’m not okay with losing access to content I’ve purchased should that content get pulled from the service or the service shuts…

They’re EVAs from the Vatican.

I don’t see how the blood on the moon isn’t a clear sign these are sequels. It’s all cyclical, with Shinji rebuilding the world and it constantly going to hell. The Manga even point to this cycle.

According to the subtitles, they seem to be EVAs created by the Vatican. They’re trying to stop whatever the Japan team is doing to Paris. My guess is Shinji’s actions at the end of 3.0 has affected the world in some way and they’re trying to reverse it.

I want to know more about the ‘4x more powerful’ statement. They can’t possibly be referring to GPU power. That would mean ~24Tflops and there’s no way they’re going to have that (a 2080Ti is ~13Tflops), especially at typical console prices.

There have been some not-too-terrible plug-and-play TV versions of Golden Tee. You can generally find them on eBay for about $30.

I wish the actual Laserdisc player itself was better.  It’s pretty much the most bare bone laserdisc player they could have possibly made.  With that said, I still love my Laseractive.  I have the N1, S1 and S10 pacs.

I’ll dust mine off this weekend and update everything before the servers go offline.  It was an interesting project and I don’t regret backing it.

It’s weird how Sony seems to want to talk about the next Playstation console, yet they’re not presenting at E3 this year.  Makes me wonder if they have something up their sleeves for E3 or if they’re really going to stay relatively quiet throughout the conference.

It’s a significant problem when a ‘Parenting editor’ can’t read and understand research related to parenting topics. It’s terrible articles like this that spread misinformation.

People really need to stop paying to see the awful movies David Goyer is responsible for writing, so he can finally stop being hired to write more movies.

Who honestly thought it was a good idea not to show the full battle at sea?  I would have much preferred they not spend so much budget on episode 3 and use it for this one.  What a waste.

I’m still highly skeptical that this movie ever needed to be made.  They closed things off perfectly with Toy Story 3.
