I was hoping to find a cheap Overdrive after hearing this news, but I just saw that the mobile app requires you to login.  Is there no way to use it without logging in?  I wonder if the AI for the cars lives in the cloud and not on the device.  If so, there will likely be a bunch of unhappy customers, just like

I have a Sony XBR065X930E, which has some of the highest dynamic range of any consumer TV on the market (which doesn’t really come in to play here, since GoT is not broadcast in HDR). It’s fully calibrated and I purposely calibrate SDR a little hot (150nit vs 100nit) as I find that works better, especially if there

All that I’m feeling right now is disappointment for how impossible it was to watch the majority of the episode, as it was way too dark and edited too fast. GoT has done significantly more impressive battles in past seasons.

There’s absolutely no excuse for the technical issues with the service. This isn’t a new platform. Criterion is using Vimeo. The launch should have been close to flawless. Instead, streaming quality is terrible, some movies are presented in the wrong aspect ration and others have a slew of other problems.

When I lived in Boston, I used to take the train between Boston and NYC regularly.  After the first time I took that train, I never flew between those cities again.  Amtrak provided a significantly better experience than flying.

“Plays games from every pre-Dreamcast Sega console ...”

“More slowly”?  Seriously?

Someone needs to get this box to Chris Ramsay!

YES!!! The movie was horrible. Not a single good moment in it. That peanut butter line pretty much set up what to expect from the rest of the movie. Absolutely terrible!

“reminded me of some fantastic 1990s limited TV-series adaptations from Stephen King like The Stand and The Langoliers”

Now playing

No. There’s no soldering required.

Any thoughts as to what the cat’s tag represents. They make an effort to show it, so you’d think it would mean something. I believe it says GCC83

I’ve run in to what I believe to be a significant bug twice now, which has caused me to completely restart chapters. What happens is that I’ll accidentally hit the right trigger while in a town, firing my gun. It would fire at the ground and not in the direction of anyone or any building. Pretty much immediately,

I need to know how the Apple Watch in the image above has a full face vapor effect. It only displays in a small circle on all watches I’ve tried. Is that a Watch v4 exclusive feature?

It’s on iTunes.

The pausing that occurs during the stream is when he fixes the problem that’s causing his controller inputs to not be displayed. The timer is still running properly at that point.

I don’t get how it’s going to be 50% faster. The raw performance of the 2080 Ti is 13.4 TFLOPS, while the 1080 Ti is 11.3 TFLOPS.  That’s less than a 16% increase.

For raw performance, it’s actually a 13.4% increase for the 2080, compared to the 1080, and a 15.6% increase for the 2080 Ti, compared to the 1080 Ti. This is why we weren’t shown any meaningful benchmarks during the announcement.

Is there any difference between the North American model and the one that’s been available in Europe for some time now? I already picked one up from Amazon.co.uk during its original release.

Tarkovsky’s original 1972 cut ... which was actually not the first cut of the film, but the cut that was widely released.
