28% of the first year Broncos were manuals. Tacoma still sells a ton on manuals. Nissan was actually selling quite a few stick shift Versas as well.

I assume you listed two Item 4s because they could only extend the warranty if they got rid of the CVT. Not many of those things get to 100k miles.

My wife’s 2018 RF has ~50k miles on it now and I was kind of nudging her to maybe consider a new one but let’s look at the fact. Aside from the new car smell, you’re getting pretty much the same damn car. There haven’t been a lot of updates to the model. The NA lasted 8 years. The NB, 7. NC, 10. ND, so far, 9. As

Some of the culprits in this car’s sales issues are surely quarter-mile-time-is-everything Youtubers / Car and Driver dick-measurers, etc.

Have we confirmed that the new Z is an actual thing and not some AI-created hallucination that just exists on the internet? Because I’ve never actually seen one in the real world.

I want to agree with you, but if you adjust for inflation, a base model Miata in 1989 would have been priced at $35,000 in today’s currency. That’s more than the $30,170 of the current base model. If any thing the car has gotten cheaper in real dollars.

I’ve got a ‘92 MR2 turbo. I also recently added an infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and a backup camera. The only thing that buying  a newer car would get me is some peace of mind knowing that if it breaks down I’ll be able to source the needed replacement part. And on a Miata that’s a non issue. I 100%

We’re going to have to buy brand-new Miatas, and sadly, you probably aren’t getting out the door for less than $30,000.

Nissan could possibly turn things around:

It would be nice to see the data. If he just hit redline or maybe went over by 50 rpm, that would be one thing, if he hit 500 rpm over the redline then that’s completely different.

There’s a big difference between taking the engine up to the rev limiter, and actual over-revving which can only really be caused by downshifting.

>student mechanic

the engine had been red-lined multiple times

Meanwhile, Cybertrucks brick from going through a car wash. 😂

One of our neighbors in the very middle-working class subdivision we lived in during the 80's had a Ferrari 308 that he’d take me for rides in when I was about 8 years old. My older sister and his daughter were best friends so we knew them pretty well but could never figure out how he could afford such a nice car by

This was a great read. I hope my kids remember their dad doing these types of things. A remember simply going a bit fast over the local rail crossing and hitting the tracks in my jeep and simply saying “I am pushing the jump-n-ator son!” button to my kids and just bouncing over the tracks. My kids swore we caught air

Thanks for sharing - wishing you and your family the best. I know it’s tough.

Uhhh, I hope she had umbrella coverage?

Worst week of my life at least recently was getting major food poisoning to the point that if my house was on fire I would be happy to die. A few days ago got better I was scammed out of 15 thousand dollars with no recourse and no way to get it back. So yeah that was a bad week.

It’s also a breach of trust! You take care of a thing and then it breaks down on you??? “KHAAAAAA(n)!!!!
