I think this is the only comment we need.

The Clans are the only way to go.
Tesla also claims the Cybertruck exists.
MechWarrior or nothing
I am really excited for this vehicle.
2009 - 2010 Ford Mustang. It was a huge upgrade in terms of modernizing the S197 from a straight retro redo to a thoroughly modern car with some retro touches. The interior was vastly improved as well.
The most interesting thing about this thread is the number of people who don’t know the difference between a facelift and a complete redesign.
I vote Toyota MR2 from the first to second generation. Edit: Hmm, this is definitely a generational change and wouldn’t qualify under facelift so it wouldn’t qualify. Nevertheless, enjoy the MR2 beauty.
Its worse. It lost to a Mustang in a track test. I mean the GT350 is pretty epic, but its 1/2 the cost and not even the faster GT350R.
The Celica GT-S is similar to an Integra GS-R, but as a former GS-R owner who has driven an ITR, the GT-S is not comparable to an ITR.
The problem is that the original NSX was the ‘easy to live with exotic’. This car is bloated and has much the same crappy sightlines of most of the other wide and flat options out there. Sure, it can probably hold it’s own on a track but who cares? Most people in the market don’t waste their time/gas/tires driving…
“The Acura NSX is an incredible piece of machinery already, offering an experience that no other six-figure sports car does.”
“Value” is meaningless. It is literally worth what somebody is willing to pay for it. To that person, it has lots and lots and lots of “value”, that it doesn’t to you is neither here nor there.
That people will pay it *by definition* means the price makes sense. I wouldn’t pay it, you wouldn’t pay it, but it makes sense to enough people that it will sell easily. It certainly makes WAAAY more sense to me to pay silly money for a 1 of 1 survivor car than over MSRP for a new car that are made by the many…
What people pay for things, especially in a completely free market like BaT, is literally the absolute assessment of value. If someone pays what someone else asks, then the price makes sense. What we think is irrelevant.
Too much money chasing too little car.
Screw it. What’s next?
How does it not? What’s a waste and whats not is completely subjective and barely anyone here would be singing the same tune if they were able to get 5x retail for their 25+ year old car. Who are we to say a compact car isn’t worth a small house, if people are willingly paying small house prices for them.
Some folks are willing to put a high price on nostalgia. The entire experience of driving an ITR could spark some great memories for them. I can appreciate that. I wouldn’t spend 6 figures on it, but I can at least understand it.
I can get personally not wanting a $110K DC2, but it seems kind of stupid to not understand why this DC2 is worth six figures to somebody. If you just want the driving experience you could literally buy a junk non Type R DC2, reinforce the shell and swap in all the requisite parts for a fraction of this. But obviously …
I’ve said this on here before but these low mile cars don’t get driven much not for the awful reasons we think. It usually because it’s from a collection. And by collection I mean some one with a ton of cars. If you have thirty cars it’s very hard to put a ton of miles on any of them. Also if you own thirty cars you…
