Every Friday when I’m heading home on the interstate I see a caravan of about 4-5 “tow” vehicles (rigged caravans or other non-typical tow cars) each towing two wrecked late model vehicles. They are always heading South. In my head, it’s a game of Jeopardy, “These vehicles are headed for which Central American country?…
You know what I’m gonna do?
I’m gonna get myself a 1967 Cadillac Eldorado convertible
Hot pink with whale skin hubcaps
And all leather cow interior
And big brown baby seal eyes for head lights (Yeah)
And I’m gonna drive in that baby at 115 miles per hour
Gettin’ one mile per gallon
Sucking down Quarter Pounder cheeseburgers…
What an absolutely ridiculous article! Are we really going to be concerned about “sharks getting into ocean discarded cocaine?!” I mean, it just goes against common sense to even conceive of this happening with all the other things that are more likely in this world! I for one, am offended at the insinuations of this…
Don’t read too much into those charity auctions. Just about all beyond the sticker price (or accepted value) is written off as a tax deduction. The hammer on charity auctions means nothing to the marketplace.

Good rec. A friend recently got a 3 GT (more expensive of course), but I was blown away how premium that car felt and by the ride. She did very well on her choice.
There’s absolutely nothing surprising here and in fact this will most assuredly (barring other factors--see below) follow typical market cycles. I commented on this site a few years ago when the pandemic price surges were happening that dealers will push the narrative that they are limited long past the resolution of…
Hear, hear! No tears shed for them. Dealers made record profits the last several years on limited inventory off our backs. I recently called my local Honda dealer about the Type R they had listed as arriving in inventory soon. The salesman told me, “We’re currently taking bids at 20k over sticker.” I will happily piss…
My readings is that the domestic US makers have found their supply chains more easily restored than Japanese and European brands thus far.
“Something-dee-oh-oh economics.”
Ah, inflation, I remember when a foxbody 5.0 could be had for 1/2 of this in better condition.
