I think the N64 controller is worse. I do think the GameCube controller is comfortable and good at Nintendo games that were designed around it, but bad for third party titles mostly because the c-stick is awful for camera controls and it’s missing a bumper. I never really had a problem with the face button layout.

They’re right, though. It’s good for Smash and that’s it. We always switched to a PS2 to play TimeSplitters 2, SSX3, NBA Street Vol 2, and Tony Hawk.

I agree. Ergonomically, it reminds me a lot of the 360 controller, which I’ve always liked. The battery life is also really good.

I agree. It’s prevented me from investing in a number of third party Nintendo controllers for my Switch. I suspect it has something to do with licensing, since it mostly seems to affect the officially licensed controllers.

I mean, I could have bought it on a better sale on PS5. But like HLD, Death’s Door, and Hollow Knight, this game is basically begging for me to play it on a handheld. 

Then it’s going to have issues if they want it to be a forever game. The more characters they add, the harder it’ll be to balance the game. The alternative is to introduce new characters, but remove some older ones, but we both know that people will get upset over that too. they wont be able to appease everyone.

Of those examples, I’ve only played the remake of Link’s Awakening. But in terms of feel, I would say the combat is closer to Cult of the Lamb. It’s a lot of dodge-rolling into and out of range of enemies to get a few swipes in, with every time you get hit being a fairly big blow to your overall health.

Skyrim Anniversary on Switch for the same $70 msrp as PS5 and Xbox is a joke. It’s already bad enough on those other two platforms, but the Switch version doesn’t even get the same upgrades. 

If it was that clear cut that this purchase would not eventually lead to Microsoft building a monopoly on the industry, then the FTC wouldn’t be spending their time on it. The long term effect of the purchase is at the heart of the debate.

That’s not exactly what Microsoft said. They committed to continuing to support existing games on other platforms. Stuff like Fallout 76, Elder Scrolls Online, and releasing Doom Eternal’s next gen update on PS5. They didn’t promise to release new games like Starfield on Playstation consoles.
