That’s why it went to trial. If there was no room for debate as to the facts of the case, the judge could have granted summary judgment.

He’s simply pointing out the black and white truth of the law. You may not like the result, but Bigburito isn’t wrong about how the law is written and interpreted by courts.
Quite the opposite. The law doesn’t distinguish between the medium the piece is rendered on. It treats flesh and canvas as the same.
He doesn’t own the copyright. As Bigburito pointed out, the right to reproduce the art isn’t tangible. He owns a single copy that is rendered on his flesh, but he doesn’t own the right to reproduce further copies. That’s the artist’s right
Nope.
“Thus, the evidence raises a triable issue of fact as to the existence and scope of an implied license and Defendants’ motion is denied as to this affirmative defense.”
Not to mention it’s presumably a good exercise for updating their engine. Naughty Dog did the same thing with TLOU1 on PS4.
Sure, but it’s not like she Venomo’d him the money right there in that hallway.
The only info that would really have led her towards this decision is knowing the next cards...
Yeah, this is a significant to American history as Taft’s butt plug. The fake outrage is pathetic.
Maybe they’re aware of their reputation and are just trying to maintain some goodwill.
I already embraced that since becoming a PS5 owner. My backlog is huge. There’s no reason for me to rush to buy the latest AAA single player extravaganza when I have games sitting on my drive. I’ve made one exception for Elden Ring this year. No regrets there either, as I had some Best Buy rewards that were expiring.
$60 didn’t get you everything up front on the 360/PS3 unless you were waiting for the GOTY edition. DLC started fairly early on in that generation with Oblivion’s horse armor.
I remember Phantasy Star IV being stupidly expensive for the time. Adjust those 90s prices for inflation. Games were expensive then.
I was responding to this statement specifically: “I just hated how next to none of the shops, buildings, and vendors were open or interactable.”
I think most open world game set in cities have that issue, though. Certainly GTAV. Witcher 3 lets you in most buildings, but there’s way fewer buildings, so it’s not comparable imo. Does Watch Dogs Legion allow you into most buildings?
I assume you mean the “living city” part. The art style is generally pretty good imo. The NPCs have more variety, and they’re better drivers, but they’re still wooden. At least they improved the cops.
I booted it up on my PS5 and thought it looked like ass. At that point they had already confirmed a next gen patch. So I waited until the big patch earlier this year to jump in. It looked way better - from the actual performance to the legibility of the map.
I’m excited that more people are going to get a chance to play this game. It’s not for everyone, but it was one of the more interesting first person shooters I’ve played in awhile.
NDAs have somewhat fallen out of favor in the #metoo era. The court of public opinion still casts judgement when an NDA’s existence becomes known, and they don’t automatically bar a lawsuit. Ronaldo’s victim signed an NDA years ago, and she still sued him.
