Fair point. To that end, it's the first Godzilla movie I truly fell in love with, which was either a great thing or a huge mistake, depending on who you ask.

It's definitely a lot of fun (the Japanese version anyway), but it's still not great. The special effects are pretty dang shoddy, given the quality of the movies surrounding it (Mothra, Dogora, Mothra Vs. Godzilla). As a story, yeah it's awesome. But I'd rank it below most of the other early G-films, save maybe

Yeah, same here.

"Its still to this day I think maybe one of the most impressive switches in sitcom history. . ."

Oh, the innocence of pre-9/11 America.

That's me!

Actually, to be fair, we lost the Rutle who actually voiced/played Eric Idle's parts on the record, some time in the 90's. His name was Ollie Halsall.

Well, something lays the eggs, be it Godzilla or whoever he's frakking.

TUSK!

Yeah, he totally helped the Japanese army defeat the Allies on Lagos Island. Thankfully, he only attacked the soldiers on land, cuz if he'd taken the ship out too, we'd never have gotten Steven Spielberg.

You will believe in him, and he will NEVER BE IGNORRRRRRRRED.

You added an "h" to Weird Al's last name. Move along.

THERE. . . ARE. . . huh. . . wait jeszz-aminute, ah saw 'em a sec'nd ago, uh…

Hey, I think you've figured out a way to get Shatner involved!

Gracie is pregnant.

Hey. . . dad? Wanna save some whales?

Maybe I'm too much of a Trekkie, but I don't really think "The Trouble With Tribbles" is all that nerdy. I'd gander that most people who know anything at all about Star Trek have probably heard of three or four things - Klingons, Vulcans, Kaaaaaaahn and tribbles. This is a wasted opportunity.

You, you're old enough to drink beer. . . have you ever kissed a girl?

Yeah, that's exactly what I was hoping for.

I still don't see why it had to go to someone already involved with The Daily Show. It's not how they did it when Kilborn left. I think Trevor Noah's doing just fine, but I would also have welcomed someone from outside the ring.
